ARTISTS

GUY SCHALOM (Musical Director & Teacher)

Guy Schalom, is an Egyptian percussionist, record producer and teacher currently based in London.   He leads the renowned Baladi Blues Ensemble with whom he has released 10 CDs of Egyptian dance music.  He has also worked with Egyptian recording artists Natacha Atlas, Mahmoud Fadl, Hijazy Metkal, Mussa el Kenawi, the Musicians of the Nile and dancers as diverse as Suraya Hilal, Aida Bogomolova, Sadie Marquardt and Jillina (Bellydance Superstars).

Guy is highly regarded internationally for his incisive and empowering teaching style and for bringing together the artistic wisdom of the east alongside state-of-the-art teaching methodologies of the west.

FARAH NASRI (Guest Teacher)

Farah Nasri is current resident dancer at the Sunset Night Club in Cairo and former resident dancer 5 nights a week at the famous Nile Maxim boat in Cairo since 2014.  Farah also performs with her live band and backing dancers on a daily basis at prestigious events, weddings and venues throughout Egypt.

Her career success has been marked through hard work, passion, constant reflection & learning, curiosity and creativity. ​ Farah began her career in France at an early age and successfully pursued and developed it in London and in various cities across the Arab world.  Her status has further expanded in Cairo and she is rapidly becoming one of the most charismatic and respected dancers in Egypt today.
