Guy Schalom is
among the most in-demand klezmer drummers in Europe.
He has a busy touring schedule and has worked with the likes of Frank
London, The Klezmatics, Moshe Berlin, Josh "SoCalled" Dolgin , Michael Alpert, Susan
Watts and David Krakauer.
He is a
founding member of the pan-European Klezmer
Alliance as well Ukrainian Village Brass Band Konsonans
Retro featuring Berlin's Christian Dawid.
Guy also runs his own duo Schalom-Bakhshayesh featuring the expressive
violin playing and singing Jilah Bakhshayesh.
Every year Guy
can be seen teaching percussion and running workshop at Klezfest London.

 A highly accomplished and expressive Klezmer dancer, Guy leads Klezmer
Keilidhs and Yiddish Barn dances throughout the UK and Europe
including Klezfest St Petersburg. His
repertoire includes traditional Freylekhs, Khosidl, Bulgars, Shers as well
modern and lesser-known Jewish and cosmopolitan dances.
He has worked as Yiddish Dance consultant for ITV.
Alongside Ilana
Cravitz, he runs Hopkele
Productions specialising in interactive Jewish Dance events with live
klezmer music.
